Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the Veteran’s Farm in Jacksonville, Florida. I was assigned to go there and photograph U.S. Army Sgt. Adam Burke. He started the farm in 2009 to give veterans a place where they can work, regain a sense of purpose in life and cope with the effects of combat. It was very encouraging to see what they had going on there. Read the article in Parade Magazine (newspaper insert) on Sunday October 16th, 2011.

Ryan, how’s it going?
I wanted to talk to you about getting some pictures. They look great. When you have a chance please give me a call.
Thanks,
Adam Burke
I thoroughly enjoyed this piece in the Parade magazine. Hats off to Adam Burke for taking the initiative to start this worthwhile venture! My 19 year old grandson became a US Marine this year and I am so very proud of him and of all the men and women serving or who have served in the armed services.
Sgt Adam Burke is an inspiration of taking a natural/complementary way of healing. The VA and other medical centers like to push pills and other so-called “cures.” But cures often come in finding our Peace in nature. When we find Peace in nature and treat our bodies better we allow ourselves to heal.

We are currently working on a true-story of survival manuscript to bring attention to the plight of the American Veteran. Thanks for your inspiration. Continue to pray for our soldier’s. Hope to meet you someday in person. Jeffery and Victoria Keith from Palm Harbor and Orlando Florida. v.keith@live.com We are Irish too! Wife Victoria was born in West Berlin Germany in 1963.
